More about the Utah Trip

I never did justice to our trip to Utah a month ago. We had a lot of fun at Myron and Ruth's, and we felt terrible for not bringing our camera. She loved being pulled around in this little red wagon. We took her to the neighbors to see their cows and sheep, and she never let us forget it. Somehow she picked up the words "moo" and "baa" from us and associated them with the animals. So to let us know she wanted to go see the sheep (which was pretty much all the time) she would give us a very concerned look and say "baa" while pointing outside. She also really loved the horses and we fed them together. Even though she loves the animals and tries to chase after them, she still gets scared and runs away whenever they come toward her.

Lydia has become such a parrot lately. She repeats everything. I say, "let's put your shoes on, alright?" She repeats, "alright?" (with the same inflection as me). It's so fun to see her growing up. We went on a camp-out this last weekend, and she was stealing food from all of the other families that we were with. She tends to just make herself at home with anyone. Anyway, she picked up the word 'strawbaberry.' Everyone thought that was cute.

Lydia doesn't like to play by herself for very long. Larisa estimates that only about 10% of the time will she play by herself. She instead tries very hard to get our attention (by dragging us around by the finger) or insists on going outside.
