Tyler skating

Laura took Tyler with her kids (Zack and Austin) to a discovery museum on Friday.  There was a skating rink designed like a street that went around a play area.  It even had some sloped portions, ramps, and so forth.  Laura put Tyler's skates on first and watched as he repeatedly fell violently and arrose again to keep trying.  After a few falls she told him to wait for her to put her kids skates on and then she'd be with him to help, but he continued on without her anyway.  Her kids held on to either her or the side.  She finally caught up to Tyler and the two of them crashed.  Then she watched him a bit.  He skated to the top of a little ramp.  As he stood there she said, "Tyler, I don't think you want to do that."  Then down he went and fell.  But he never complained.

The next time around she has a video of him as he skates by confidently while saying, "I didn't even fall that much this time."  In the video, it looks like he's an old hand at roller-skating.

Olga loves Emmett

When I was visiting with Olga this weekend, she talked a lot about how cute Emmett is.  She likes his cute smile and expressions, and the way he moves his shoulders.

Lydia on all Four

Today I saw a new Guinness world record.  A man in Japan reset his own record for running on hands and legs.  It immediately made me think of Lydia, so I showed it to her tonight.  She's always running around the house that way.  The man in the video does the same thing.  He tries to live his whole life on all fours.
