Help, Help, I’m being repressed!

Laura called me last night to talk about the Tea Party in Washington tomorrow.  She got me thinking about going, so I looked up train schedules and everything in the middle of the night.  I told her that she’d know I was there if she saw on the news someone in the background trying to yank himself away from the grip of the cops while yelling, “Now you see the violence inherent in the system.”

On the other hand, I’ll know if Laura contributed to my wiki just by reading it. :)

Lydia is not an Octopus

Yesterday Larisa was putting the kids to bed.  Lydia can take forever in the bathroom, so Larisa had to speed her up to make time for reading a book.  She put toothpaste on the toothbrush and told Lydia to take it, while Lydia was still busy putting her pull-up on.  Her response was perfect.  “Mom, I’m not an optupus.”

Of course, they do get to bed eventually.
